Awesome place for waterfalls and hiking. Lakes, forests, streams in a mountainous setting make for inspiring photography and beautiful walking. Camping, canoeing rentals, and other outdoor re recreation available. Very nice visitor's center. Swimming at beach in warm weather.

What a treasure! The hiking trail of multiple consecutive waterfalls is worth repeated visits. We visited on Labour Day weekend, when the waters were plentiful and the hikers plenty. The hike can be steep and slippery so take your time if you are not a seasoned hiker (like myself). Bring a suit and take a swim if you are so inclined.

One of my favorite places to visit anywhere. I've been to waterfalls across North America and the Caribbean and Ricketts Glen is second to none. The hike around the falls trail is among the most strenuous I've encountered, but with care you can take your family along for one of the most beautiful experiences you will ever have. Take a dip in one of the pools beneath the falls, drench your head in the edge of the falls. Enjoy your lunch, but please pack up your trash and take it with you, don't spoil this treasure. Also wear good shoes or boots, I've encountered several tragedies on this trail from both carelessness and underestimating the difficulty. Be prepared and careful and you will have a wonderful experience on the trail around the falls.

PS. Zero stars if possible.

This park is fantastic. It's great for a day trip or over night camping. Camp sites are nice, bathrooms are always clean. Trails are nice and we'll marked. Waterfalls are absolutely beautiful. We go once a year at least.

Do you camp to have a good time? Do you like to get away for a nice weekend emersed in the natural beauty parks have to offer? Do you enjoy having fun around a camp fire? Maybe you like to enjoy a beer or two with friends and family? If you answered yes to any of the above questions then Rickets Glen Camp site is NOT for you! We were not even unpacked yet before 2 mall cops came up and attempted to confiscate our beverages. We politely asked if we could move our car with the adult beverage off site and were met with a demand to leave the camp site. Would never come back.
