Camped there for several years and always had a great time. Deliverd fire wood and quiet
Beautiful view of mountains and only a few minutes from Ricketts Glen. The 1 star rating is because the owner wasn't very pleasant, he's more of a chaperone and complainer. He told my friend and I to call him by 8pm if we needed wood dropped off, so we called at 6pm to ask for wood. He said he had better things to do besides bring wood. We did eventually get the wood but the comment was not appropriate. The day of our checkout he had some unpleasant words about the fact that we had cut a few pine limbs down (limbs that were hanging in his lane to our campsite). The location was ideal but I would of expected a more pleasant individual to do business with. He's selling the campground next year because he's "tired of dealing with people". Campsites aren't too bad.. ours was on an incline with tree roots so beware of tent positioning. Didn't dare stay in a cabin.. VERY sketchy looking! Don't waste your money if you're expecting comfort.
I have been going here for years. I always stay in a tent. I love the campsites themselves it is a good amount of room and has somewhat enough privacy. It's perfect for families and pets. I always loved getting away from the city to come here. It is not expensive and the workers are so nice and helpful. There are tons of things you can do near the campsites as well. The bathrooms are usually clean. Plus there is a corner store that has everything you may need. Overall very good!
I love being near my son and the beautiful morning's and quiet evenings! Good Family Place!
The only good things about this campground are the hot showers and the fact that's it's only a few minutes away from the falls. It's very noisy because it's right next to a busy road so if you're looking for peace and quite, look elsewhere. He also sold us damp firewood so that was a bummer. The owner is very rude and disrespectful, he yelled at us because he thought my friend and I where leaving huge puddles of water outside of the showers (we where not, he just assumed it was us) and he pretty much turned the lights off while we where still in the bath house. He also followed my friend into the bathroom the next day, we thought that was pretty weird. My friend and I are always respectful of others and there property wherever we go but the respect was not mutual at this
